DIMONOD
Dimonod (Earth)
In the southern part of the western continent of Dragon's Breath can be found
the Forest of Jiliyn. It is in this forest that the Dimonod God and it's
elementals live. It is more of a normal forest, not magical like the Forest of Illusion.
Made of three parts, the forest looks like a gigantic beetle when seen from the
right angle. At the center lies a clearing with twelve crystallized trees in
it. Each is a few inches taller than the other from the minimum height of 10
inches. Collectively crystal trees are actually sleeping Dimonod God who awakes
rarely. Scattered throughout the forest are more of these Crystal trees. Each
one is a sleeping Dimonod Elemental. These elementals awaken at times and take
on a different form.
Adamanities
The High Dimonod Elementals. This is the species which turn
into the legendary crystal trees. Adamanities were made at the same time the
world was, and can be considered part of it. If you want to get technical, you
could say they were stray parts of the magic that made DB in the first place,
that grew and took on consciousness. They're almost completely made of magic,
and originally could turn into any form at will. Due to the influence of humans
and suchlike, most of them have now 'set' only two forms for themselves--the
crystal trees, and a human/elflike form that they rarely use. In fact until now
the elementals have never set foot outside of their forest until one.
Dwarves
An industrial subspecies of the Earth elementals. Dwarves
burrow deep into the earth seeking out jewels, metal and ore. They are a
secretive race and have legendary riches buried deep with in the caverns which
they carve deep into the mountains surrounding the Forest of Jiliyn.
Dyrads
An elegant race of elements, part plant, part humanoid, much
like their sibling race the Adamanites. With skin of pale green or brown, hair
the colors of leaves in autumn, these willowy creatures play amongst the
crystal trees and animals of the forest. As soon as anything unfamiliar, be it
humans or another elemental, enters their forest, they quickly transform to
their tree form. Some times if one treads quietly into the Dryad's domain, they
can spy these lovely creatures in their playful dance.
